1. Product Features

SMG533-P Conformal Coating is one-component, neutral curing, solvent-borne resin sealant. It’s a kind of protective coating for rigid and flexible circuit boards and for electronics printed board applications. It can form a transparent elastomeric coating at the surface of substrate after cure, which can make sure electronics work well under disgusting environment.

2.Characteristic

• Solvent-borne resin coating, room temperature cure and release low-molecular-weight alcohol;
• Excellent performance on water-resistance, insulation, anti-seismic and dustproof;
• Good tolerance to thermal cycle(-45～200℃), excellent resistance to weather , ultraviolet, salt-spray resistant and ozone;
• Outstanding adhesion of most common materials in electronics industry;
• Good compatibility with other neutral silicone sealants;
• Repairability, can be removed from substrates and circuitry by scraping or cutting, or by using solvents or stripping agents. If only one circuit component is to be replaced, a soldering iron may be applied directly through the coating to remove the component.

5.APPLICATION METHODS

• To achieve the optimal effect, the surface of substrates can be cleaned by acetone or isopropanol first. If the adhesion force wants to be strengthed, primer can be useful;
• Spray, brush, flow, dip or automated pattern coating can be chosed conveniently. SMG533 can diluted by solvent, such as toluene and xylene;
• SMG533 reacts with water in air at room temperature, 0.1mm thickness coating dries in 20min. 23℃and 50% relative humidity are suggested, increase the temperature and humidity can accelerate the reaction

• 1kg or 4kg in metal container. Multiple packaging sizes are available for this product.
• Shelf life: 9 months from the date of manufacture under dry and cool area below 27℃.

• This product is neither tested nor represented as suitable for food, medical, or pharmaceutical uses.

9.CAUTIONS

• SMG533-P needs water in air, and solvent will volatilize, so the department should be well-ventilated
• The shelf life is 9 months in -20～+27℃, cool and dry place from the date of manufacture. The water in air must be insulated and the container must be sealed. If it hasn’t been used completely, nitrogen can be filled and sealed
