New Progress on Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport T3 Terminal Project! The overall project progress has exceeded 70%, with an expected operation start in late 2025. Baiyun Technology has been involved in the project from the beginning, committed to integrating new technologies, materials, and high-quality productivity. It provides a comprehensive sealing solution for the facade curtain wall and roof of the T3 Terminal. Baiyun witnessed supports the construction of the world's largest single-terminal airport!
The T3 Terminal project is located on the southeast side of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and consists of the main building, southeast concourse, southwest concourse, northeast concourse, and northwest concourse. The terminal spans 970 meters from north to south and 592 meters from east to west, and is constructed with a spatial truss structure. Its design is unique, drawing inspiration from the “flower.” The eight petals are ingeniously arranged to form the shape of a flower. When sunlight filters through the glass dome resembling a “colorful flower sea,” the fifth facade of the terminal looks like a blooming flower, creating the unique architectural image of the “Flower Crown of the Ram City.”
One of the construction challenges of the T3 Terminal project at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport lies in the severe demands on sealing materials due to its roofing system. The terminal's roof design features large-sized sealant joints, which must withstand fluctuations in external temperature and humidity. Additionally, these joints are constantly exposed to intense sunlight and extreme weather conditions, making them prone to material aging and cracking. This can, in turn, affect the sealability and durability of the metal roof. Therefore, the selected sealant products must possess exceptional weather resistance and the ability to withstand high and low temperatures to ensure that they can effectively prevent water leakage and safeguard the building's safety under complex and variable natural conditions.
