Although silicone rubber has excellent weathering resistance, it is also a polymer material and can also be aged. For polymer materials, there are many natural environmental factors that affect their aging: oxygen, ozone, heat, water vapor, ultraviolet light, salt spray, acid rain, etc. may all affect its durability. To study the anti-aging properties of polymer materials, it is usually necessary to conduct tests under conditions of both hot and humid and dry heat, such as the two largest exposure test sites in the United States: the Arizona and Florida exposure test sites are typically dry and hot regions and typical Hot and humid areas. Therefore, in China, we chose to conduct atmospheric exposure tests on silicone structural adhesives in two typical hot and dry heat-exposed areas in Guangzhou and Turpan.

Turpan Exposure Base, commonly known as the "Fire Exposure," is located at the foot of the famous Flaming Mountain, in a cold climate zone, a typical continental arid desert climate. The experimental center is about 15 kilometers away from Turpan City and covers an area of 133 hectares. It is the largest natural heat exposure and natural exposure test base in China and the largest in the world. It is also the world’s largest test site in addition to the Atlas Global Climate Services Group in Arizona. The second major dry heat test site.
