Baiyun ultra-high performance structural sealant application (2): product characteristics introduction and case sharing
Baiyun ultra-high performance structural sealant products are SS921 and SS922, of which SS921 is a single component and SS922 is a two-component. Baiyun ultra-high performance structural sealant has the following product features:
High strength, high elongation, medium modulus;
Provide a safety factor of 8 times or more;
Neutral curing, non-corrosive;
Excellent weathering resistance;
Excellent resistance to high and low temperature. It will not become brittle, harden or crack at 50 °C after curing. It will not soften and degrade at +150 °C, and always maintain good strength and elasticity.
Excellent adhesion to most building materials.

 1 Meet with standards
Baiyun ultra-high performance structural sealant meets national standard GB16776, American standard ASTM C1184 and European standard ETAG 002, and also meets Baiyun's enterprise standard Q/BYHG13.
2 Performance indicators
This year, the performance of Baiyun ultra-high performance structural sealant products has been fully upgraded, and the main performance indicators have been greatly improved. For example, the tensile strength under standard conditions has been increased from 1.2 MPa to 1.5 MPa, and the increase rate is 25%. The performance advantage is more prominent. 3 Main application
Due to its excellent product characteristics, ultra-high performance structural sealant can be widely used in high-rise, super high-rise glass curtain wall structure bonding and sealing; large-size glass plate curtain wall structure bonding and sealing; complex structure glass curtain wall structure bonding and sealing; Where safety is required, and for many other purposes.
In the application process, the use of ultra-high-performance structural adhesives, such as not increasing the strength design value, can be designed to provide a higher safety factor and a longer service life. For example, if the design value of the strength is increased, the width or thickness of the bond can be reduced according to the unconventional design; the design of the design value of the strength can be implemented by an expert argument in order to fully ensure the safety.

 

Case Studies

1) Guangzhou West Tower Project

 

Project brief

The West Tower project is located in Guangzhou Zhujiang New City. The new city's central axis and the Pearl River viewing axis focus on Guangzhou's new city card. The project was completed in 2009. The main tower is 432 meters high. It is a full-height frame unit curtain wall design. It is the world's highest full-hide frame glass curtain wall project. The project uses the Baiyun ultra-high performance silicone structural adhesive SS922, which adopts an unconventional design scheme that improves the design value of the strength. It has been used for 7 years and is in good condition.

The outer curtain wall project of the main tower of Xita has five characteristics: super high-rise, full-hide curtain wall, large wind pressure, large plate and large glass. The basic situation of the project is as follows:

The largest plate: 4500mm × 1500mm

Laminated hollow: 8+1.52PVB+10+12A+10

Maximum wind pressure: +3.251/-6.240Kpa

 If the width of the glass curtain wall structure rubber is designed according to the current specification JGJ 102-2003 "Technical Specifications for Glass Curtain Wall Engineering", according to the mandatory provisions of Article 5.6.2 of JGJ 102-2003, "the tensile stress or shear stress of the silicone structural sealant" The design value should not be greater than its strength design value f1, f1 should be 0.2N/mm2; under permanent load, the tensile stress or shear stress design value of silicone structural sealant should not be greater than its strength design value f2, f2 should be taken 0.01N/mm2." According to the design of the strength design value specified above, the obtained silicone structural sealant has a maximum width of 48 mm, which greatly affects the appearance of the building.

The tensile strength of Baiyun brand ultra-high performance silicone structural sealant is more than 1.50MPa, which is twice the national standard (0.6MPa) of tensile strength of ordinary silicone structural sealant. According to "Glass Curtain Wall Engineering Technical Specification" JGJ 102- The 2003 article states 5.6.2. The method for selecting the design parameters of the structural rubber, the strength design value is increased by 2 times. After the strength design value is increased, the width of the silicone structural sealant of the West Tower project is calculated to be no more than 24 mm.

In 2008, the Guangzhou West Tower project was repeatedly demonstrated by the expert group, and finally agreed to adopt the Baiyun ultra-high performance structural adhesive SS922, and adopted the scheme of increasing the structural strength design value of the structural rubber to improve the strength design value f1 to 0.4 under wind load or earthquake. N/mm2; increase the structural design value of the structural adhesive under the permanent load f2 to 0.02N/mm2; after calculation, the structural adhesive width is <24mm, and the actual take is 24mm. At the same time, auxiliary safety measures such as support and safety clips are set to ensure the safety of the project.

2) Sichuan Liangshan Tobacco Company

The project is located in Liangshan, Sichuan Province. It is a nine-degree seismic fortification building. It was built in 2005. It uses Baiyun ultra-high-performance structural adhesives and adopts a conventional design scheme that does not improve the design value of the strength. The safety factor is greatly improved. In 2008, it experienced 5.12 Wenchuan. The project was intact after the earthquake!

 

Sichuan Liangshan Tobacco Company

3) Chongqing Ninth People's Hospital,

The project is located in Beibei District of Chongqing, which is an earthquake-resistant octave zone for buildings. It was built in 2005. It is an externally inclined glass curtain wall. It uses white clouds ultra-high-performance structural glue and adopts a conventional design scheme that does not improve the design value of strength, which improves the safety factor. It has been used for 10 years and is in good condition.
